I finally found a good Jamaican place near me. This food reminded of home. The only thing is the cabbage serving is so small and they give you sooo much rice. The tender meat made up for all of that however. I really enjoyed the meal I received. I ordered the jerk chicken and I will definitely be ordering again soon!

Jamaica dreaming but don't have time for the flight? Head on over to G's Homestyle Cooking.
Tried the Jerk chicken mini size for $6.75 including tax which was tasty & sufficiently filling.
Now onto the rice and peas- they were also flavored well although I think a sauce would help moisten it. The chicken was a little bit dry in some parts and service left much to be desired as the lady taking orders didn't so much as crack a smile -

This food is one of my favorite southern styled cooking around queens. Fair prices and fresh food made with love.

Wow as soon as I saw the pictures of the food when it popped up as a restaurant I should check out in my area I said no this food look good but how does it tastes....well I have been going for 3 weeks straight and I am so pleased that it has great flavors without the extra spicy but it does feel like home cooked meal and they are not stingy with the serving....the lady behind the counter is nice but serious about what you oder....get the order in so she can make you the plate....love it just like my mom back home also the decor is so afrocentric showing the strength of our past and future is so inspiring to see....I will be back soon

Flavors are ridiculous! A must try! It's a bunch of aunties cooking. Prob the best Caribbean I've ever had and it only cost me $12.38 (curry Goat w/ rice and beans, and salad)
